Signs of an Opioid Overdose/ Toxicity
What is an opioid overdose?
Opioid drugs affect the part of the brain that controls breathing. When a person takes more opioids than their body can handle (overdose), or they are unknowingly exposed to toxic supply, a person's breathing slows. This can lead to unconsciousness and even death.
